Welcome to Drum Studio Tuition.

We are a small drum school specialising in private drum lessons for all ages. Based in our studio in Cardiff Bay and Newbridge Gwent we also offer home visits.

Tutor Phil Jenkins has 20 years drumming experience, is CRB checked and has lots of patience!

Drum Studio Tuition appreciates people approach drumming lessons for many reasons, whether that be to relax, try something new, learn how to play their favourite song, or achieve qualifications, and so offer very adaptable lessons.

Phil's Bio

I have enjoyed teaching drums for over 20 years. My musical experience is varied, playing with a rich culture of musicians from Chinese orchestra to punk rock, psychedelia, improvisation and rap.

I've appeared in many TV and theatre performances, on DVDs and radio sessions, including John peel and Mark Radcliffe and appeared in a major film release Beautiful Mistake. Alongside these achievements I have recorded and toured with indie and major artists.

My teaching experience includes working for Cardiff and Vale Music Service and Caerphilly Music Service as a Primary and Secondary Peripatetic drum and guitar tutor. I also work for Community Music Wales as a mentor and community music tutor. I enjoy teaching all ages and abilities.
